課程概述

This course is designed to be an introductory course for those who are interested in understanding oncogenesis. The course will cover several issues including epigenetics, tumor angiogenesis, immunosurveillance, immune escape and inflammation in the process of malignant transformation. Some materials, like cell cycle and chemical carcinogenesis, will not be explained in full detail but will be reviewed briefly. Those who have taken one basic course in tumor biology and graduate students from non-oncology backgrounds are welcome.

Topics to be covered:
1. Tumor suppression genes and oncogene.
2. Transcriptional factors and tumorigenesis.
3. DNA methylation , histone modification and chromatin remodelling in cancer.
4. Angiogenesis in life, tumor and medicine.
5. Immunosurveillance and immune escape of cancer.
6. Inflammation and cancer.
